Exeter College (part of the University of Oxford) seeks to appoint an IT Support Officer who will be responsible for supporting the IT Department in its operation and maintenance of the college systems, and in the provision of IT and AV support to members and staff.

You will be working in a small and professional team who have a wide remit, and who are committed to constantly developing the IT strategy, provision and service within the College.
We’re looking for a proactive team player, who will be the first point of contact for user queries and who will provide a strongly customer-focused helpdesk service to all users of the College. Within the role, you will have primary responsibility for resolving first-line requests, as well as supporting the wider team across a wide range of technical administration and support activities. You will also ensure that appropriate inventories and documentation are maintained, and where needed, will provide in-person training to members of staff.
To be successful, you will ideally have some experience in configuring and supporting Microsoft and Apple systems and applications, as well some experience of administering user accounts, Microsoft Active Directory, Ethernet networks, and/ or servers and backup systems. You will also be confident and diplomatic, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to think laterally and creatively.
The salary will be within a range £27,131 – £32,348 per annum (Grade 5 of the University’s salary scale), depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
